Dear Families,
This week we have our mantras complete! Ask your learner what they are. We also are working on homework at home. Homework is to be completed by the end of the week and a signature is required on Thursday’s. On the first day of the week, students will be writing all their homework for the entire week. This week, students will be reading for 10-15 minutes each night. Check to see what a nice job they did writing their assignments.
I am also offering “book bags” to go home with students. These book bags have books at their independent reading level, but are not too easy. Most of the time they are books we have read in class. If you would like your child to have one please sign below and return. When the books are returned they will get another set of books. They MUST be returned as some I am borrowing from the school.
In class this week, students will be taking the NWEA testing during their computer time. The subjects will be reading, language and math over the next three computer classes.
We are beginning to learn more about math, writing and reading this week. We are also continuing to learn about procedures, especially in reading. Have a great week and be sure to check out the website.
